LIMITED TT SERIES – THE THIRD 2012 EDITION!
The third of the exclusive Isle of Man “Limited TT Series” is available for ordering now! A design triumph in gold, white and black offered in a limited production run of just 500 helmets. The first to wear the 2012 Limited TT Series RX-7 GP helmet are a number of selected riders and the travelling marshals on the world famous TT track.
The Arai brand and the Isle of Man TT races have a long-standing history together. In 2007 the Arai “Island of Man Centennial” was for instance introduced and in 2010 a special series of no less than three “Limited TT Series” was announced. Now the time has come for the introduction of the Third 2012 Edition: a truly stunning creation from master designer Aldo Drudi!The Arai RX-7 GP “Limited TT Series” helmets are special in three ways. First: a substantial commission of the profit will flow directly towards the TT organization. Second: Each production run is limited to 500 helmets only and finally: for each of the Limited Series Aldo Drudi has created an exclusive design. It is these features that make each Arai Limited TT Series helmet an instant collectors item.
The first black and gold 2010 limited TT Series helmets was an instant hit. For the 2011 edition, designer Aldo Drudi designed a tribute to “100 Years of the Mountain Course” and now the master has surpassed himself with the 2012 edition in gold, white and black. Of course the world famous “triskelion” (Three Legs of Man) symbol is dominantly present. Then the ‘TT’ lettering in gold, strong black and white chequered flag graphics and the design is finished off with red striping.

À défaut de renouveler son haut de gamme, Arai le décline sous diverses décos. Pour la troisième année consécutive, le RX-7 GP reçoit une peinture inédite, œuvre d'Aldo Drudi, pour célébrer l'édition 2012 du Tourist Trophy, qui aura lieu en juin prochain. Il est doré et ce n'est pas pour rien.
Arai RX-7 GP IOM TT 2012 : À prix d'or
Techniquement, rien ne distingue ce RX-7 GP, nommé IOM TT 2012. La fiche technique reste la même, avec une fibre multi-composite, un intérieur démontable, un système de retrait rapide des mousses de joues par les secours et un aileron destiné à réduire les turbulences sur l'arrière de la tête. Déjà affiché à un tarif élevé en temps normal, le casque Arai RX-7 GP IOM TT 2012 explose ici les compteurs.
La rareté de ce modèle, programmée à 500 exemplaires, ainsi que la déco de Drudi composée d'une base dorée, du Triskell mannois et d'un lettrage TT sur un drapeau à damiers destinent clairement cette édition à des collectionneurs. Comptez de 1 100 à 1 200 € pour vous l'offrir. Si votre banquier tousse un peu, dites-lui que ça reste deux fois moins cher que la version en carbone RX-7 RC.
